Had smile surgery done with Dr. Naren Shetty. It was super simple, straightforward and hassle free. After I had a consultation and scans of my eyes were done, I was explain clearly what my options were in regards to LASIK, PRK, and SMILE. After I chose SMILE, I was clearly explain the preoperative procedures and I was able to schedule the day appointment for my surgery with Dr. Naren’s team. On the day of the surgery, I was taken into the OT, the team explained to me what was about to happen. Then Dr. Naren guided me as the machine with the laser aligned to my eyes, he was very calm and talked to me through out the procedure (which itself took no more than 10 minutes in total). After the procedure, I was give counseling on the post operation procedures. My pain began to increase as the numbing drops wore off but the pain was very very mild and manageable, it was 5/10. Then as I left the hospital to go home it had began to reduce further and by the evening my pain was non existent and my vision was 70% back to normal compared to when I wore glasses. On day 2 there was no pain at all and my vision was 99% back to normal! Absolutely wonderful experience and would recommend this to anyone who is deciding to get refractive surgery done!
