completed basic medical education from Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore in 2000 and Post Graduation in Ophthalmology (MS) from Karnataka institute of medical sciences, Hubli along with DNB(ophthalmology) from NBE. Obtained long term fellowship in Glaucoma from the prestigious Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai in 2008.

Having over 15 years of service in ophthalmology, initially worked as a Medical officer at Aravind Eye Hospital, Madurai for 5 years, later worked as Chief Medical Officer and Senior Consultant at Vasan Eye Care Hospital Shimoga for 7 years.
