Last week my father (82 yrs) went through the Vitrectomy and associated surgeries in the right eye under supervision of Dr Thirumalesh MB. We are glad getting awesome hospitality, automated process and immense administrative support from the hospital to perform the operation very quickly. Now about Dr Thirumalesh. He is very energetic, experienced, knowledgeable, supportive, honest and friendly doctor, where you can blindly believe for the best retina treatment. It was quite delayed case for my father as the doctors in my hometown took significant time (1.5 months) to find the progressive vision loss is due to internal hemorrhage in the right eye (not due to age) and already got complicated by that time due to massive blood leakage. I brought him to Bangalore immediately. He can recognize only hand movement with this eye. Due to cardiac problem Rajaji Nagar branch (N1) suggested to go with Bommasandra branch (N2), where I met Dr. Thirumalesh. On the first meet, reviewing the health checkup reports and examining of the eye he gave enough confidence and assured not to worry about the surgery, he’ll take care of everything. It took total 2 hrs for the operation and follow up procedures. On the next day after operation, my father is being able to see 100%, as early. Dr is so generous that he said to thank God for this success. On our request, he also referred to an eminent Cardiologist to review the cardiac medicines while one drug may be the possible cause of the Hemorrhage. He is also a scientist, performing research to reverse the degeneration of retina cells due to age. I’ll recommend him for any retina related issue.
