I decided the hospital and the doctor for my mother’s (73 years) cataract surgery after thorough research. I had heard a lot about Narayana Nethralaya through google reviews and also through friends. Dr. G K Venkatesh is quite competent doctor. I had his additional review from one of my family members who underwent a successful and smooth cataract surgery done by Dr Venkatesh at Narayana Nethralaya.I highly appreciate the management the way they make the entire process so smooth and organized that despite a great rush of patients the process of diagnosis and treatment remains pretty smooth and syatematic for each patient.I was impressed by the way they do diagnosis, especially the A-scan. They use three different machines for assessing the required power and alignment of the lens for cataract surgery; and these machines work on two different techniques ( penta-cam and optical interferrometry). They make sure that the outcome of the three machines are matching to acceptable limit of deviation.
So basically the doctor was not in a hurry to operate rather he preferred precise diagnosis and discussion on the lens required.
I had for a detailed counselling and discussion by Dr G K venkatesh and doctor on the diagnosis and treatment of my mother’s cataract. prior to this counselling Dr Anuj explained me the nitty gritty of diagnosis methods and inference of results.On the patients’ comfort front again the hospital is excellent.The staffs are quite professional and cordial.
Vallet parking is another good facility that the hospital provides you which relieves you from added pain of parking your vehicle.My overall experience with the hospital and doctor is very good and I highly recommend the same.
