We got cataract surgery done for my father for both eyes and it was a great experience with both Dr. Prashant who did the surgery and with Dr. Sanketh who checked him couple of times post surgery. We also had a very good experience with Dr. Sadanand Shetty who consulted for Glaucoma related complications. Only feedback for improvement can be on admin side to better time manage the appointments and reduce waiting times a bit. Narayan Nethralaya a leading eye hospital in Bangalore. Been an out patient of this hospital for more than 10 years as part of my routine visual check up once in every 2 years. Once early cataract was detected, periodic yearly check up was suggested to track its progress. Once I made my decision, all mandatory test were conducted by their efficient staff. Two set of doctors have to confirm the report before the decision was made for surgery. No rush. All decision to do the surgery was left to my personal mindset and convenience. Once decided their counsellor took care of my insurance claims and booking of surgery slot as per my convenience. Dr. Prashant did an exemplary job of installing the lense in a 15 minute painless process. Did the second operation after a gap of 15 days by Dr. Prashant again. Narayana Nethralaya is flush with helpful staff who hand hold you through each and every step from routine examination, to booking appointment, completing insurance claims, slotting surgery time, administrating needed medication, dressing up and prepping for surgery and finally post-operative check ups.
